Whether they are rich or poor, many people fail to see the link between their habits and their health.
here are five keys to better your health:
Eat Wisely. Eating fresh foods rather than modern processed foods with a blance of fruits and vegetables& whole grains. Drink plenty of water.
Take Care of Basic Body Needs. Get enough rest. Take good care of your teeth and see your doctor regulary
Keep Yourself Moving. Exert yourself, use your feet. Excercise is benefical for people of all age. Membership in a gym is not required to get it.
Protect Your health. Keep yourself clean. Hand washing is the single most important thing that you can do to help prevent the spread of infection.
Motivate Yourself & Your Family. Keep learning, educate yourself about basic ways to improve your health & avoid endangering it.
My son, age 16, has just been diagnosed with high blood pressure. He went to the doctor for a Sports physical, and it was discovered then. It's very highly unusual for a teenager to have high blood pressure!
I read the news the other day, and there was a story about more and more young and middle-aged people having high blood pressure these days than older people.
What's the reason/cause?...We've yet to find the reason for my son's diagnosis. He's been having lab work and seeing the doctor again next week. It's not his diet...
I can foresee many young people having this due to the economy and being jobless and stressed out. It's a good idea to have ur own blood pressure checked, otherwise it might involve you having a stroke or heart attack.
My son is very lucky we caught it before he continued to play extreme sports in high school. I feel the pressure of the training for football/tennis & weight lifting is the culprit, along with being concerned of his grades, making above a C average in order to play sports. He's a very busy and active teenager. His coach assured him that he could still be on the teams, be a waterboy until the doctor has cleared him to again be able to play sports.
We also keep our arguements/disagreements at home to a minimum and discuss them in a calm manner...no stress.
Have ur own blood pressure checked! For ur health and peace of mind, and ur children's also, no matter their age.
